Clan MacCool
Sunday, May 15, 2022 - 3:00pm - Mathews High School Auditorium

You may have heard them at the Williamsburg An Occasion for the Arts. Clan MacCool is a highly interactive band that specializes in Irish/Scottish traditional music, occasional piracy and constant fun! They offer an array of Celtic traditional (and not so traditional) songs, tunes and reels, and during Pirate season, they don their best piratic finery and treat adults and kids alike to a rollicking good time with sea shanties, sword demos and other interactive fun! Pulling from old Celtic music, sea chantys and their own music over the course of nearly two decades, Clan MacCool continues to entertain, educate and enthrall! Whether Celtic or Maritime music is your fancy, look to Clan MacCool for music, merriment and a bit of mayhem!

Jim Curry's Tribute to the Music of John Denver
Sunday, November 21 - 3:00pm - Mathews High School Auditorium

The music of the late John Denver is like an old friend, outlasting trends and standing the test of time. Join acclaimed performer Jim Curry for this tribute to the music of one of the most beloved singer/songwriters ever to grace the stage. Tribute artist Jim Curry, whose voice was heard in the CBS-TV movie Take Me Home: The John Denver Story, has performed Denver’s music in sold out shows throughout the country and has emerged as today’s top performer of Denver’s vast legacy of multi-platinum hits. Jim’s uncanny ability to mirror John’s voice and clean-cut look takes you back to the time when “Rocky Mountain High” “Sunshine” “Calypso” and “Annie’s Song” topped the charts, and his popular music had the heartfelt message of caring for the earth and caring for each other. Jim believes that John Denver’s words still ring true in these difficult times of war and environmental crisis. https://www.jimcurrymusic.com/

Sons of Serendip
Sunday, April 24, 2022 - 3:00pm - Mathews High School Auditorium

Sons of Serendip is a musical group of four friends, who through a series of serendipitous events, came together in graduate school at Boston University. Micah Christian, a former teacher from Randolph, Massachusetts, is the lead vocalist of the group; Cordaro Rodriguez, a former attorney from Charlotte, North Carolina, is the
pianist and guitarist; Kendall Ramseur, a former cello instructor from Charlotte, NC, is the cellist and vocalist; and Mason Morton, who is a former teacher from Atlanta, GA, is the harpist for the quartet. In 2014 they came together to begin what they know will be a long beautiful journey of creating music that touches people’s hearts by competing and becoming finalists on America’s Got Talent, Season 9 (NBC). They hope that their music will resonate deeply with listeners and that, in some way, it will make their lives a little better – even if just for a moment.
